Georgian international defender. Born on September 7, 1971 in Rustavi. His first professional steps in football were taken at the local team Metallurg Rustavi in 1988. During the period of 1990-1992 he plays at Gorda Rustavi in order to return more mature to his first team, for one season. The big leap in his career comes in 1993, when he is transferred to Dynamo Tbilisi. In Dynamo Nugzar excels into a great defender. Up to season 1996-1997 he plays in 80 championship games and five UEFA cup matches and scores one goal. He teams with Shota Arveladze and Georgi Kinkladze, who also become his teammates in the national team of Georgia. In the summer of 1997 Nugzar was transferred to CSKA Moscow only to return in winter to Dynamo (after playing in 10 games with CSKA). Lobjanidze appeared in 17 games with the Georgian club and in the summer of 1998 he came to Xanthi with the shirt of which he appeared in just one game due to a very nasty injury. Due to this injury he withdrew from football in age of 29. He won five Georgian championships (all with Dynamo) while he wore the badge of his national team 13 times.
